Erik Hatten is a founder and the Chief Executive Officer of Corterra. From 2016 to 2018 Erik served as the Chief Operating Officer for a successful post-acute care company offering a variety of facility based skilled nursing and behavioral inpatient services, as well as home health and hospice, pharmacy, primary care and care management services, and managed care insurance products. Prior to that, Erik spent 15 years advancing in multiple leadership roles and board level positions, including CEO and COO, for a premier faith-based post-acute care company, centered on service and focused on the needs of the person. His broad leadership experience includes senior executive oversight of local, regional and national markets with responsibility for operating budget and capital plan development and execution, strategic goal setting and problem solving, multi-community and multi-discipline care coordination, multi-system merger, transition and integration, and board selection and strategic plan education. Erik has extensive history at all levels of the continuum of care and has the ability to guide, enhance and achieve continuous quality, financial and operational success while ensuring mission and/or ministry-related goals coalesce with system initiatives.
Paul Murray is a founder and the Chief Financial Officer of Corterra. Paul has over 20 years of progressive finance and accounting experience. Most recently, Paul held concurrent roles as Vice President of Finance for a successful provider of post-acute services, VP of Finance and Controller for an integrated primary and behavioral health care services company, and CFO of a Medicare Advantage Institutional Special Needs Plan. He is experienced in corporate finance, strategy and development in a variety of capital and ownership structures. Paul's extensive healthcare background includes joint venture inpatient physical rehabilitation, radiology, physician practice management, integrated primary and behavioral care management, skilled nursing and long-term care, inpatient behavioral hospitals, home health and hospice, captive insurance and Medicare Advantage health plans. Paul began his career serving as a Registered Representative and General Securities Principal for an independent, full-service financial consulting firm, as well as Chief Compliance Officer of a $100 million limited investment partnership.
